Football Game Preview: Independence Patriots vs. Richmond Senior Raiders + How To Watch

Independence has won five straight games at home, while Richmond Senior has won five straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Friday. The Patriots will challenge the Raiders at 7:00 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Independence is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They took their game with ease, bagging a 45-6 win over Page. The Patriots might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five contests by 34 points or more this season.

Independence's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jayden Jones, who rushed for 162 yards and one score while picking up 10.1 yards per carry. With that strong performance, Jones is now averaging an impressive 103.6 rushing yards per game. Another passer making a difference was Jared Street Jr, who threw for 213 yards and a pair of TDs on only 16 passes.

Wins are hard to come by when you can't run the rock, something Independence proved: they limited Page to a paltry 2.6 yards per carry. While five picked up at least five total tackles, Kerry Allen-Waters stood above the rest. He picked up a sack, made five total tackles, and defended one pass in addition to snagging an interception. Independence didn't have any issues in that department, having averaged 8.3.

Independence didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Allen-Waters and Kevin Powell Jr. Allen-Waters has been hot recently, having also posted five or more total tackles the last three times he's played. Another thorn in Page's side was Zaire Crommarty, who picked up two sacks and made four total tackles.

Meanwhile, Richmond Senior didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Porter Ridge on Friday, but they still walked away with a 48-43 victory.
