After flying high against Great Oak on Friday, Beaumont came back down to earth. The Cougars fell 3-1 to the Etiwanda Eagles on Tuesday. The Cougars' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 19-25, 25-10, 25-23.

Etiwanda's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Meaalofa Tauaese, who had nine digs and two aces. Kylie Richardson was another key player, getting 13 digs and three aces.

Beaumont's loss dropped their record down to 5-2. As for Etiwanda, they now have a winning record of 5-4.

Beaumont and Etiwanda should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps California Rankings. The Cougars will take on Indian Springs at 5:15 p.m. on the 10th with a big rank advantage (58 vs. 697). Meanwhile, Etiwanda (ranked 161st) will meet Yucaipa (ranked 330th) at 5:30 p.m. on the 10th.
