Baseball Game Preview: Franklin Admirals vs. Independence Eagles

For the second straight game, Franklin will face off against Independence. The Admirals will welcome the Eagles at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The squads are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Franklin has struggled recently with five defeats in a row, while Independence will arrive with four straight wins.

Franklin came into this matchup off a tough ten-run loss on Monday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of Independence by a score of 8-6 on Tuesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Admirals have suffered since March 7th.

Franklin saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Tate Vallone, who went 2-for-3 with four RBI, one run, and one double. Another was Cory Hoard, who scored two runs while going 3-for-4.
