Central hadn't done well against Opelika recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Central Red Devils skirted past the Opelika Bulldogs 4-3. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Red Devils also won the last time the pair played back in April of 2024.

They hit Opelika with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Tyelon Davidson (2), Nathaniel Riepe, and Jan Bach.

Central's win bumped their record up to 8-3-1. As for Opelika, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-9 record this season.

Central will head out to square off against Northside at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Central's last three contests have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. Opelika will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Benjamin Russell at 7:00 p.m. on March 25th.
