Basketball Game Preview: Griffin Bears vs. Central Lions

The Griffin Bears will venture away from home to square off against the Central Lions at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. One thing working in Griffin's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last six matches.

Last Tuesday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Griffin beat Mundy's Mill 58-52.

Meanwhile, Central entered their tilt with Northside on Thursday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They came out on top against the Patriots by a score of 69-56. Given the Lions' advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 72nd, while the Patriots are ranked 283rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Griffin is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-6 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.3 points per game. As for Central, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-3.
