Volleyball Game Preview: Dell Rapids Quarriers vs. Beresford Watchdogs

The Dell Rapids Quarriers will square off against the Beresford Watchdogs at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Beresford took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Dell Rapids, who comes in off a win.

On Friday, Dell Rapids made easy work of Tri-Valley and carried off a 3-0 victory. The Quarriers haven't had any issues with the Mustangs recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive win against them.

Dell Rapids not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Tri-Valley between 17 and 19 points across their sets. The final score came out to 25-18, 25-17, 25-19.

Meanwhile, Beresford lost 3-0 to Vermillion on Tuesday. The Watchdogs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Beresford took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 25-15, 25-20.

Dell Rapids' victory bumped their record up to 24-6. As for Beresford, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-17.

Everything went Dell Rapids' way against Beresford in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, as Dell Rapids made off with a 3-0 win. Will the Quarriers repeat their success, or do the Watchdogs have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
