Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Fossil Ridge). They blew past the Saginaw Rough Riders 23-1 on Thursday. The victory continues a trend for the Panthers in their matchups with the Rough Riders: they've now won eight in a row.
Briley Wilson made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing three innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. Wilson was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with three RBI and one run.
In other batting news, Callie Mauppin was a standout: she went a perfect 4-for-4 with two triples, five RBI, and three runs. Those four hits gave her a new career-high. Johanna Sierra also deserves some recognition as she got her first hit of the season.
