Sheldon is 9-1 against Roseburg since May of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Irish will face off against the Indians at 4:30 p.m. Roseburg took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Sheldon, who comes in off a win.
Sheldon is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Oregon's top teams: North Medford, who was ranked 15th at the time (Sheldon was ranked 22nd). The Irish put the hurt on the Black Tornado with a sharp 11-4 victory on Saturday. Considering the Irish have won three contests by more than six runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

Soraya Dorsey spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned runs on eight hits and racked up eight Ks. She has been consistent : she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in seven consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Braelyn Stone and Presley Debaldo did most of the damage at the plate: Stone went 1-for-3 with one home run and three RBI, while Debaldo scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4. That's the most hits Debaldo has posted since back in April of 2024. Savannah McKibben also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.
They weren't the only one making solid contact: Sheldon kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That's a new trend for them: they were averaging 4 hits per game earlier this season, but in their last 15 matchups they've averaged 9.6.
Meanwhile, Roseburg entered their game against North Medford on Tuesday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Indians fell just short of the Black Tornado by a score of 4-3. Surprisingly, this marked the sixth straight game that the away team has come away the victor.
Jasmine Morales was huge while hitting and pitching even without the win. She struck out six batters over seven innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off four hits. Morales was also big at the plate, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one double.
In other batting news, Terra Singleton was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base. Danika Opp was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.
Sheldon is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.6 runs on average over those games. As for Roseburg, their loss was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 10-2.
Everything went Sheldon's way against Roseburg when the teams last played back in May of 2024, as Sheldon made off with an 11-0 victory. Will the Irish repeat their success, or do the Indians have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
