Basketball Game Preview: Trimble County Raiders vs. Owen County Rebels

Trimble County is 0-10 against Owen County since February of 2020 but things could change on Tuesday. The Trimble County Raiders will challenge the Owen County Rebels at 8:30 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

Trimble County is headed into Tuesday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight game on Friday. 2025 welcomed they with a 57-35 loss courtesy of Valley.

Meanwhile, Owen County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were one points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 49-48 heartbreaker at the hands of Spencer County. While losing is never fun, the Rebels can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kentucky basketball rankings (they are ranked 155th, while the Bears are ranked 47th).

Owen County's loss dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Trimble County, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-5.

Things could have been worse for Trimble County, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 50-32 loss to Owen County when the teams last played back in February of 2024. Can Trimble County avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
