Wautoma lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Almond-Bancroft, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Friday's matchup. The Hornets were the clear victors by an 11-2 margin over the Eagles on Friday. With that win, the Hornets brought their scoring average up to 6.5 runs per game.

Ben Miller made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he struck out eight batters over 3.2 innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 3-for-5. He also put up two RBI, which were his first of the season.

In other batting news, Jett Richard was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-4. Those hits were his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Carson Rose, who scored two runs and stole four bases while going 1-for-4.

Wautoma's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-3. As for Almond-Bancroft, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.

Coming up, Wautoma will challenge Berlin at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Indians have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed ten runs per game on average), something the Hornets will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Almond-Bancroft, they will face off against Pacelli at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
