Basketball Recap: Beatrice Orangemen vs. Wahoo Warriors
The Beatrice Orangemen won the last time they faced the Wahoo Warriors, and things went their way on Saturday too. Beatrice came out on top against the Warriors by a score of 47-38. Despite the win, that was the fewest points Beatrice has scored all year.
Despite the loss, Wahoo still got an impressive performance from Sidney Smart, who scored 22 points along with three steals. Another player making a difference was Gretchen Seagren, who scored three points along with four blocks and two steals.
Beatrice has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 15-2 record this season. As for Wahoo, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 9-9.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Beatrice will stay at home for another game and welcome the Crusaders at 6:00 p.m. on February 6th. Lincoln Christian is looking to tack on another W to their seven-game streak on the road. As for Wahoo, they will be playing at home against the Trojans at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Platteview's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last four games.
