Basketball Recap: Berwyn/Cicero Morton Comes Up Short

Berwyn/Cicero Morton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They took a blow against the Niles North Vikings, falling 77-46. While losing is never fun, the Mustangs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 645th, while the Vikings are ranked 25th).

Berwyn/Cicero Morton's defeat dropped their record down to 1-10. As for Niles North, the win was the ninth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-2.

Berwyn/Cicero Morton will square off against Wheeling at 1:30 p.m. on January 3, 2025. As for Niles North, they and Schaumburg will face off at 8:30 p.m. on Friday without much rest having both just played. Niles North knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past 11 games -- so hopefully Schaumburg likes a good challenge.
