Basketball Game Preview: Ashland Grizzlies vs. Yreka Miners

The Ashland Grizzlies will head out on the road to take on the Yreka Miners at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Ashland will be strutting in after a victory while Yreka will be coming in after a loss.

Ashland is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They took their contest on Friday with ease, bagging a 61-25 win over Reynolds.

Meanwhile, Yreka was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were five points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 45-40 heartbreaker at the hands of Orland.

Yreka's loss dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Ashland, their victory ended an eight-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-2.

Ashland came up short against Yreka when the teams last played back in December of 2023, falling 47-37. Thankfully for Ashland, Alexes Collier (who went 6 for 13 on her way to 18 points and eight steals) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
