Terra Nova had already won eight in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 3.8 runs) and they went ahead and made it nine on Wednesday. They walked away with a 5-2 win over the Woodside Wildcats. For the Tigers, this counts as revenge for the 6-5 victory the Wildcats walked away with the last time they faced one another back in March of 2024.

Cooper Santamato looked comfortable as he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits.

At the plate, Wesley McDougal was excellent, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played.

Terra Nova's win was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 9-2-1. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.6 runs on average over those games. As for Woodside, they moved to 6-5 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Terra Nova beat the Wildcats by a score of 5-4 on Thursday.
