Basketball Recap: Lassiter Snaps Three-Game Streak of Losses on the Road

If Sprayberry wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Lassiter, they should've done a better job of containing TJ Shinkle. The Lassiter Trojans walked away with a 60-49 victory over the Sprayberry Yellow Jackets on Tuesday thanks in part to Shinkle, who went 5 of 8 en route to 22 points along with five boards and three steals. He continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played.

The team also got some help courtesy of Charlie Wright, who posted five points. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in assists (four).

Lassiter's win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 8-4. As for Sprayberry, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-4.

Lassiter and Cambridge will compete for holiday cheer at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Sprayberry, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on North Cobb Christian at 4:30 p.m. on December 30th.
