The Chanute Blue Comets will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against the Northeast Kansas Nighthawks HomeSchool Nighthawks at 5:30 p.m. on January 19th. Chanute will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Kansas Rankings (they are ranked 246th, while Northeast Kansas Nighthawks HomeSchool is ranked 109th).
Last Friday, Chanute came up short against Independence and fell 44-31.

Their rough 45-25 loss to Girard on Thursday might stick with them for a while. Chanute bumped their record down to 2-6 with that defeat, which was their sixth straight on the road. As for Northeast Kansas Nighthawks HomeSchool, their loss dropped their record down to 9-3.
