Softball Recap: Argonaut's Win on Thursday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Argonaut had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 10 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. Everything went their way against the Rio Americano Raiders as they made off with a 10-4 win. The Mustangs have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Raiders, too.

The team relied heavily on Catie Strieff, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. That home run marked the first that she launched this season. Another player making a difference was Makayla Davis, who scored two runs while going 1-for-1.

Argonaut's victory bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Rio Americano, they dropped their record down to 1-6 with the loss, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Looking ahead, Argonaut will take on Chavez in a tournament on Friday. Argonaut is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 11 runs per game this season. As for Rio Americano, they are taking a road trip to square off against Vista del Lago at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
