Volleyball Recap: Lake Mills Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Lake Mills couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Kettle Moraine Lutheran Chargers on Saturday.

Victoria Popowski paced Lake Mills' offense, picking up ten kills. Popowski got some help from Debra Bruce and her 29 assists. Finally, Brooke Palmer kept Lake Mills' defense grounded, leading the team with four blocks.

Kettle Moraine Lutheran found their leader in sophomore Kathryn Ehlke, who had nine digs and four aces.

Lake Mills' defeat dropped their record down to 22-10. As for Kettle Moraine Lutheran, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 24-19.

Lake Mills does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Kettle Moraine Lutheran, they will challenge Catholic Memorial at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
