Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Junction). They blew past the Brackett Tigers 58-13 on Friday. The Eagles might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four games by 20 points or more this season.

Despite the loss, Brackett still got an impressive performance from Abel Aguirre, who rushed for 145 yards and one touchdown. Aguirre's rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his fourth straight game with at least 145 rushing yards.

The victory keeps Junction at an undefeated 6-0. Those wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 10.8 points on average this season. As for Brackett, their loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 4-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Junction will take on D'Hanis at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Brackett, they will challenge Gordon at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Longhorns' defense has only allowed 9.9 points per game this season, so the Tigers' offense will have their work cut out for them.
