Volleyball Recap: Rittman Gets the Win

The Rittman Indians earned a 3-1 win over the East Canton Hornets on Saturday.

Rittman walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the third set). Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 22-25, 25-13, 25-16.

Mackenzie Beltz was nothing short of spectacular: she had 13 digs, five kills, and two aces. She has been hot for a while, having also posted 15 or more assists the last 17 times she's played.

Beltz wasn't the only good servers: Rittman was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 18 aces. That's the most aces they've posted since the start of last season.

Rittman's win bumped their record up to 6-10. As for East Canton, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost eight of their last nine matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-12 record this season.

Rittman will venture away from home to challenge Northwestern at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for East Canton, they will welcome Strasburg-Franklin at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
