Basketball Recap: Grand Terrace Comes Up Short

After flying high against West Valley last Thursday, Grand Terrace came back down to earth. The Grand Terrace Titans lost 75-54 to the Viewpoint Patriots on Friday. The Titans' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Despite the loss, Grand Terrace still got an impressive performance from Deisyn Payne, who posted 26 points. Another player making a difference was Reggie Caldwell, who had ten points.

Grand Terrace's defeat dropped their record down to 8-5. As for Viewpoint, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 12-3.

Grand Terrace and Schurr will face off at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played. As for Viewpoint, they will take on Brentwood School at 4:00 p.m. on January 3, 2025. Viewpoint knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past five matchups -- so hopefully Brentwood School likes a good challenge.
