Basketball Recap: Waller Takes a Loss

Waller was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They lost 70-44 to the Lake Creek Lions. The Bulldogs were probably out for revenge after losing 72-62 to them when the teams met back in November of 2023, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Caden Puckett was a one-man wrecking crew for Lake Creek as he went 11 of 19 on his way to 25 points and five rebounds. Those 25 points gave Puckett a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Jay Mcshan, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 11 boards.

Waller's defeat dropped their record down to 3-10. As for Lake Creek, their win bumped their record up to 5-9.

Waller didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, an 83-32 loss against Cypress Creek on the 6th. As for Lake Creek, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 59-35 victory against Cleveland on the 6th.
