Spring Valley took a seven-run loss the last time they faced off against Boyceville, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Cardinals sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-3 win over the Bulldogs on Thursday. This was a revenge game for the Cardinals: when they faced off against the Bulldogs back in April, they had to take a 7-0 defeat.

Spring Valley's victory bumped their record up to 9-10. As for Boyceville, with the loss, they broke their seven-game winning streak and moved their record to 15-6.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Spring Valley will host Elk Mound at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Boyceville, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Augusta at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
