Basketball Game Preview: Hamady Hawks vs. Genesee Wolves

Hamady is 5-0 against Genesee since December of 2014 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Hamady Hawks will challenge the Genesee Wolves at 7:30 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Hamady has seven straight wins, Genesee has 14 straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

Last Friday, Hamady blew past Bentley, posting a 74-35 victory. The Hawks have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven matches by 26 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 86-42, which was the final score in Genesee's tilt against International Academy on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, the Wolves can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 709th, while the Phoenix are ranked 215th).

Hamady will have to contain Qusai Bannoura as he made an impact in Genesee's last game. He posted nine points and six rebounds.

Hamady's win was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 8-1. As for Genesee, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-10.

Everything came up roses for Hamady against Genesee in their previous meeting back in January of 2023, as the squad secured an 87-40 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Hamady since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
