Softball Recap: Spring Valley Comes Up Short

Saturday just wasn't the day for Spring Valley's offense. They came up short against the Raceland Rams on Saturday, falling 13-0. Having soared to a lofty 11 runs in the game before, the Timberwolves' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Spring Valley's loss dropped their record down to 11-20. As for Raceland, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 12 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-10 record this season.

While Spring Valley had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
