North Surry piles up the points against West Wilkes

Recap: North Surry Greyhounds vs. West Wilkes Blackhawks

The North Surry Greyhounds stacked a ninth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Tuesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat West Wilkes 59-30 at home. The win was nothing new for North Surry as they're now sitting on four straight.

North Surry had a senior duo take command as Sadie Badgett scored 16 points along with six rebounds and six steals and Reece Niston scored 14 points along with two steals. Niston hasn't dropped below two steals for five straight games. Another player making a difference was Kalyn Collins, who scored nine points along with five rebounds.

North Surry pushed their record up to 15-4 with that victory, which was their fourth straight at home. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.0 points per game. As for West Wilkes, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-10.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. North Surry won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Mount Airy at 6:30 p.m. on February 7th. Mount Airy has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for West Wilkes, they will head out on the road to square off against Wilkes Central at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. West Wilkes is facing Wilkes Central at the right time seeing as Wilkes Central is stuck on a 12-game losing streak.
