Recap: Bruton Panthers vs. York Falcons
The Bruton Panthers lost against the York Falcons back in November of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Bruton fell 22-14 to York. Bruton has struggled against York recently, as their contest on Thursday was their ninth consecutive lost matchup.
Despite the loss, Bruton had strong showings from Cullen Anderson, who rushed for 149 yards on only 13 carries, and Ashton Bell, who rushed for 55 yards and a touchdown.
Bruton has been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-3 record this season. As for York, their win ended a four-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 3-5.
Bruton will take on Poquoson at 7:00 p.m. on October 27th. Poquoson will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak. As for York, they will head out on the road to face off against Lafayette at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Lafayette presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than York in Virginia (Lafayette is ranked 51st, while York is ranked 242nd).
