Basketball Game Preview: Pendleton Buckaroos vs. Burns Hilanders

The Pendleton Buckaroos are taking a road trip to square off against the Burns Hilanders at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Pendleton will be strutting in after a victory while Burns will be coming in after a defeat.

Having struggled with five losses in a row dating back to last season, Pendleton turned things around against Bend on Friday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Lava Bears, sneaking past 40-38. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Buckaroos have posted since January 31st.

Pendleton's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Chaistyn Surber, who posted eight points and five boards, and Khimora Scott, who earned 13 points. The dominant performance also gave Surber a new career-high in assists (three).

Meanwhile, Burns didn't have quite enough to beat Weston-McEwen on Saturday and fell 53-50.

Pendleton's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-4. As for Burns, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-2.
