Softball Recap: Shafter Comes Up Short

Shafter and Lemoore squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but Shafter had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Tigers by a score of 5-3. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Generals of the 10-6 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2024.

Neveah Enriquez was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. That home run was her first of the season.

Shafter's defeat dropped their record down to 17-12. As for Lemoore, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-8-1 record this season.

Shafter does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Lemoore, they will take on Mission College Prep at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
