Mize had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7.7 runs) and they went ahead and made it four on Friday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Collins Tigers a 15-0 shutout. Considering the Bulldogs have won three games by more than 11 runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Trey Myers was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Parker Himmel, who scored three runs and stole Two bases. while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.

Mize always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .808. The last time their OBP was this high was since the start of last season.

Mize's victory bumped their record up to 8-2. As for Collins, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-3-1.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Mize beat Collins by a score of 8-2 later that day.
