Basketball Recap: Watertown Takes a Loss

Watertown was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost to the Lakeview Warriors on the road by a 63-49 margin.

Despite the loss, Watertown still got an impressive performance from Christopher O'Toole, who posted 25 points and three steals. Another player making a difference was Johnathan Platt, who put up nine points and seven boards.

Lakeview's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jack Gollow, who almost dropped a double-double on 24 points and nine rebounds. The contest was Gollow's fifth in a row with at least 15 points. Patrick Weaving was another key player, dropping a double-double on 17 points and 11 boards.

Watertown's loss dropped their record down to 8-8. As for Lakeview, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 9-6 record this season.

Watertown wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 91-55 defeat against Holy Cross on the 4th. As for Lakeview, they have also already played their next contest, a 71-60 win against Housatonic on the 5th.
