Basketball Game Preview: St. Paul Academy-Summit Spartans vs. Minnehaha Academy Red Hawks

St. Paul Academy-Summit is 1-9 against Minnehaha Academy since February of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The St. Paul Academy-Summit Spartans will be playing in front of their home fans against the Minnehaha Academy Red Hawks at 7:00 p.m.

Last Friday, St. Paul Academy-Summit took a blow against Blake, falling 85-40. While losing is never fun, the Spartans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota basketball rankings (they are ranked 247th, while the Bears are ranked 24th).

Meanwhile, Minnehaha Academy entered their tilt with Mahtomedi on Saturday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They strolled past the Zephyrs with points to spare, taking the game 72-57.

Minnehaha Academy pushed their record up to 7-5 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 70.3 points per game. As for St. Paul Academy-Summit, they now have a losing record at 5-6.

St. Paul Academy-Summit lost to Minnehaha Academy at home by a decisive 73-57 margin in their previous meeting back in March of 2024.
