Soccer Recap: Service Comes Up Short

Service and Juneau-Douglas squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Service had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Crimson Bears by a score of 2-1. That's two games in a row now that Service have lost by just one goal.

Service is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-7-2. As for Juneau-Douglas, the victory (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 12-1-3.

The two teams are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. Service will challenge Wasilla at 11:00 a.m. on Friday. Service are facing Wasilla at the right time seeing as Wasilla are stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Juneau-Douglas, they will take on West Anchorage at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
