Baseball Recap: Union Area Takes a Loss

Union Area was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against the Leechburg Blue Devils, falling 18-3. That's two games in a row now that the Scotties have lost by exactly 15 runs.

Union Area saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Chris Staph, who scored a run while going 1-for-1.

Union Area's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Leechburg, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-1.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Union Area will square off against rival St. Joseph at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Leechburg is set to take on their familiar foe Western Beaver at 3:45 p.m. on Monday.
