Baseball Recap: Eufaula Comes Up Short

The Eufaula Ironheads lost 10-2 to the Seminole Chieftains on Tuesday.

Eufaula saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jax Williams, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. That home run was Williams' first of the season.

Eufaula dropped their record down to 3-11 with the defeat, which was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Seminole, their victory ended a seven-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-17.

Coming up, Eufaula will host Checotah at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Wildcats' pitching crew has only allowed 2.8 runs per game this season, so the Ironheads' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Seminole, they are taking a road trip to challenge Chandler at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
