Football Recap: Eagle River Comes Up Short in High-Profile Matchup with Chugiak

Eagle River faced Chugiak in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Wolves fell just short of the Mustangs by a score of 17-14. The Wolves were not able to make up for their loss to the Mustangs from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

Eagle River dropped their record down to 3-5 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Chugiak, their victory ended a five-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 3-5.

As of now, neither Eagle River nor the Mustangs have any future games scheduled.
