Basketball Recap: Midlothian Heritage's Run of Four Straight Wins Now Over

It was a proper cat-fight when Midlothian Heritage faced off against Kaufman on Tuesday. The Midlothian Heritage Jaguars took a 45-37 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Kaufman Lions. The Jaguars were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Lions earlier this season, when they won 38-36.

Midlothian Heritage's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Brianna Finch, who posted ten points. Another player making a difference was Ava Batty, who scored 11 points.

It was another big night for Kaylee Wrenn, who went 6 of 14 on her way to 26 points for Kaufman. That's the most points Wrenn has posted since back in December of 2024. Kayden Lidy was another key player, putting up four points and five rebounds.

With the defeat, Midlothian Heritage broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 24-10. As for Kaufman, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 23-8.

As of now, neither Midlothian Heritage nor Kaufman have any future games scheduled.
