Softball Recap: Dansville Extends Home Winning Streak to Five

Dansville's tournament run continued when they took on Williamston on Saturday. The Aggies walked away with a 4-1 win over the Hornets. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Aggies.

Ryker Graf spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on five hits and racked up ten Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than ten strikeouts in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Maddi Carter was excellent, going 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. That home run was her first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Katie Hamel, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with one run.

Dansville's victory was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-1. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.2 runs on average over those games. As for Williamston, with the defeat, they broke their five-game winning streak and moved their record to 5-4.

Coming up, Dansville will venture away from home to challenge Laingsburg at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Williamston, they will host Eastern at 4:15 p.m. on Monday.
