DeKalb won the last time they faced Columbia City and things went their way on Friday too. The Barons came out on top against the Eagles by a score of 4-1.

Brady Vince made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over four innings pitched. Vince was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two RBI and one double.

Vince wasn't the only one making solid contact as five players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Drake Hall, who went 1-for-3 with two runs and one RBI.

DeKalb's record now sits at 13-3. As for Columbia City, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-7.

DeKalb wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 4-2 win against Norwell on the 12th. As for Columbia City, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, an 11-3 defeat against Heritage on the 9th.
