Softball Recap: Philipsburg-Osceola Gets the Win

While Philipsburg-Osceola put up some runs on Friday, the same can't be said for West Branch. Philipsburg-Osceola walked away with a 3-0 victory over West Branch. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Mountaineers.

Alivia Bizzarri made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run while striking out ten over seven innings pitched. Bizzarri was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

In other batting news, Emily Gustkey was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-3.

Philipsburg-Osceola now has a winning record of 2-1. As for West Branch, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Coincidentally, Philipsburg-Osceola and West Branch will both be playing Bellwood-Antis the next time they take the field. West Branch will host Bellwood-Antis at 4:30 p.m. on Monday, while Philipsburg-Osceola will host them at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
