Softball Game Preview: Waldron Bulldogs vs. Charleston Tigers

Waldron hasn't had much luck against Charleston recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Waldron Bulldogs will host the Charleston Tigers at 4:30 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

Waldron is headed into Thursday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their 18th straight game dating back to last season on Monday. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 9-8 heartbreaker at the hands of Centerpoint.

Meanwhile, Charleston didn't have quite enough to beat Dardanelle on Tuesday and fell 7-6. That's two games in a row now that the Tigers have lost by just one run.

Emery Rowland made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3. That's the most hits she has posted since back in April of 2024.

Charleston now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Waldron, their loss dropped their record down to 0-4.

Waldron suffered a grim 17-1 defeat to Charleston in their previous meeting back in March of 2024. Can Waldron avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
