Soccer Recap: Iron Academy Starts Season with Defeat on the Road

Iron Academy kicked off their season on the road on Tuesday and hit a couple of potholes. They came up short against the Heritage Leadership Academy Fletchers, falling 5-1. If Iron Academy were looking for revenge after losing 7-1 to Heritage Leadership Academy when the teams met back in September of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Heritage Leadership Academy now has a winning record of 2-1.

Looking ahead, Iron Academy will venture away from home to take on Youngsville Academy Charter at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Iron Academy will be up against Youngsville Academy Charter's rather soft defense (which has allowed 4.8 goals per match), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Heritage Leadership Academy, they have already played their next game, a 2-0 win against Durham Charter on the 12th.
