Volleyball Recap: Philip Simmons Comes Up Short

Philip Simmons was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wando Warriors. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Warriors this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 last Wednesday.

The final score came out to 25-23, 23-25, 25-12, 25-12.

Philip Simmons' loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Wando, their victory was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 2-0.

Philip Simmons will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Socastee at 9:30 a.m. on October 18. As for Wando, they will take on Academic Magnet at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
