Mendota and Rochelle are an even 3-3 against one another since March of 2017, but likely not for long. Mendota will head out on the road to square off against Rochelle at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Rochelle better have a healthy lead at halftime, because if Mendota's game on Monday is any indication, that's when Mendota really gets things going. Mendota's defense stepped up to hand Streator a 3-0 shutout.

Crystal Garcia and Kamilah Preciado scored all three of Mendota's goals, which were season-firsts for both players.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Rochelle, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. They came out on top against Stillman Valley by a score of 2-0 on Monday.

The victory got Mendota back to even at 1-1. As for Rochelle, the win also got them back to even at 1-1.

Mendota beat Rochelle 2-0 when the teams last played back in March of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for Mendota since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
