Volleyball Recap: Bartram Trail Falls Despite Big Games from Cayden Dangerfield and Nate Reckers

Bartram Trail was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the St. Augustine Yellow Jackets. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Yellow Jackets this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-2 back in March.

While Bartram Trail was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the first set. The final score came out to 25-23, 25-15, 25-16.

Nate Reckers and Cayden Dangerfield certainly did their best on Tuesday to avoid the loss. Reckers had nine digs and three assists, while Dangerfield had five digs.

Tanveen Hossain was the offensive standout of the match as he had ten digs and two aces. Those two aces gave him a new career-high.

Bartram Trail's defeat dropped their record down to 4-15. As for St. Augustine, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 13-9.

Bartram Trail didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-0 loss against Creekside on the 23rd. As for St. Augustine, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-2 win against Spruce Creek on the 23rd.
