Las Cruces is a perfect 10-0 against Mayfield since March of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Bulldawgs are taking a road trip to take on the Trojans at 7:00 p.m. After the two teams made easy work of their previous opponents, one won't be so lucky on Tuesday.

Las Cruces is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of New Mexico's top teams: Cleveland, who was ranked fifth at the time (Las Cruces was ranked first). The Bulldawgs were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Storm on Saturday. The Bulldawgs haven't had any issues with the Storm recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Las Cruces never let Cleveland on the board, but things got pretty close in the first set. The final score came out to 25-23, 25-13, 25-18.

Meanwhile, Mayfield got the win against Silver on Saturday by a conclusive 3-0.

While Mayfield won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-22, 25-20.

Las Cruces' win bumped their record up to 13-0. As for Mayfield, their victory bumped their record up to 10-3.

Las Cruces took their win against Mayfield in their previous meeting back in October of 2024 by a conclusive 3-0 score. Do the Bulldawgs have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Trojans turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
