Baseball Recap: McKinney North Comes Up Short

McKinney North lost against Lovejoy last Tuesday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Bulldogs fell just short of the Leopards by a score of 6-4. That's two games in a row now that the Bulldogs have lost by exactly two runs.

This is the second loss in a row for McKinney North and nudges their season record down to 7-10-1. Even worse, they were so close both times: the defeats came by an average of only two runs. As for Lovejoy, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 14 of their last 15 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-4 record this season.

Coincidentally, McKinney North and Lovejoy will both be playing Melissa the next time they take the field. The Leopards will head out to face the Cardinals at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, while the Bulldogs will host them at 7:30 p.m. on the 15th.
