Softball Game Preview: Everett Warriors vs. Southern Huntingdon County Rockets

The Everett Warriors will head out on the road to take on the Southern Huntingdon County Rockets at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Everett is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last three games.

On Wednesday, Everett was able to grind out a solid victory over McConnellsburg, taking the game 15-11.

Meanwhile, Southern Huntingdon County has relied on a stalwart pitchers averaging 3.57 runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit last Wednesday. They took a 14-10 hit to the loss column at the hands of Claysburg-Kimmel. The Rockets haven't had much luck with the Bulldogs recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Everett's win was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-2. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.5 runs on average over those games. As for Southern Huntingdon County, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 6-1.
