Preview: Freeman vs. Malcolm
Malcolm will look to defend their home turf on Friday against Freeman at 7:00 PM. It might come down to the wire as the MaxPreps rankings project a close matchup.
After having lost a blowout in their match two weeks ago against St. Paul, Malcolm were happy to find some success last Friday. Malcolm took their game against Syracuse by a conclusive 27-0 score. The victory was a breath of fresh air for Malcolm as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.
Meanwhile, Freeman took a serious blow against Wilber-Clatonia, falling 0-37. Freeman were down by 0-37 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.
Malcolm's win lifted them to 1-4 while Freeman's loss dropped them down to 3-2. We'll find out if Malcolm can add another positive mark to their record or if Freeman can shake off the loss and take the spring out of Malcolm's step.
