Basketball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Jaylen Wills and Grant Polk Lead St. Albans to Victory

With a playoff win on the line, St. Albans rose to the challenge on Tuesday. They walked away with a 65-55 victory over the Coolidge Colts. That's more bragging rights for the Bulldogs, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Leading St. Albans to victory were Grant Polk and Jaylen Wills. Polk dropped a double-double with 25 points and 14 rebounds, while Wills to rack up 24 points and four steals. The contest was Wills' fifth in a row with at least 17 points. Another player making a difference was Mpumi Masimini ii, who posted two points and nine boards.

St. Albans' win bumped their record up to 10-16. As for Coolidge, their defeat dropped their record down to 19-8.

Coming up, St. Albans won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against St. John's at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. St. Albans knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past five games -- so hopefully St. John's likes a good challenge. Coolidge does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
